What should I pay attention to when cleaning the capsule coffee machine?

Deep cleaning of the steam wand: There are two situations in which the steam hole is blocked, one is blocked by scale, and the other is blocked by milk stains. Generally, the head of the steam wand can be removed. If not, we will soak and clean the whole steam wand.

For the former, we need to use a special scale cleaning powder to dilute and soak according to the ratio. The latter can be soaked in hot water, then use a special steam hole cleaning brush/SIM card needle to clear it, and finally place the steam wand above the water barrier, and then turn on the steam again for empty spraying, and observe whether the air outlet state is restored.

If it does not recover, and it is determined that the hole is not blocked, you need to contact the coffee machine after-sales/maintenance technician for inspection.

Deep cleaning of the water distribution network: Although we clean the water distribution network from time to time, the water distribution network is a bowl-shaped part. We only brush the bottom of the water distribution network, and the inside cannot be brushed. However, if the water distribution network is often disassembled, it will easily lead to deformation of the water distribution network. So we need to prepare special coffee machine cleaning powder (sold separately on the Internet).

Then proceed just like a normal backwash, but with an extra step of adding powder. First of all, we first remove the powder bowl on the brewing handle, press the blind bowl, and put about 3g of special cleaning powder for coffee machines into the blind bowl.

Then buckle the brewing handle and press the extraction button. Due to the resistance of the blind bowl, the coffee machine will release the pressure when it is pressurized and extracted, so as to “suck” the cleaning powder into the pressure relief pipe to play a cleaning role. The recoil time with cleaning powder should not be too long, about 15 seconds each time, 3-5 consecutive operations, the reason is that the pressure relief valve may be damaged if it works for a long time.

After backflushing 5 times, pull out the coffee handle, and you can see the water with coffee dirt and foam in the blind bowl. At this time, you need to press the extraction button, first discharge part of the sewage with coffee cleaning powder, and then use the cleaning brush to clean the brewing head and water distribution network.

Deep cleaning of the handle powder bowl: If you use a brewing handle with a diverter nozzle, there will be a lot of coffee residue and grease remaining in it, and it will emit a foul smell if it is not cleaned for a long time. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a pot of boiling hot water, pour in some coffee machine cleaning powder, stir evenly, put the brewing handle and coffee powder bowl into the pot and soak for 30 minutes. Then use clean water to wash off the sewage with cleaning powder.

If there is water leakage from the side when extracting coffee, or if the handle cannot be fastened and straightened after being buckled in, it may be that the apron is hardened. At this time, we need to buy a new apron for replacement.

The structure of the brewing head of each coffee machine will be different. How to disassemble the brewing head and take out the rubber ring, it is recommended that you contact the after-sales service first, and then disassemble.

Turn off the machine first, and then remove the brewing head after the coffee machine cools down (avoid scalding). Then we can first soak and clean the water separation net/clean water with a brush to rinse off the coffee stains in the net.

Then, after disassembling the aged apron, use a clean cloth to wipe off the coffee residue on the part of the brewing head, as well as some carbonized apron residues that may have been left behind because the apron was not replaced in time after aging.

Then put the new rubber ring on the water distribution screen, and install it back on the brewing head together. Different types of brewing heads have different ways to replace the aprons, so be sure to ask about the sales before starting to operate~

Unfiltered water/impurities and water with too many minerals are likely to cause scale in the boiler of the coffee machine, which will affect the taste of the coffee in the slightest, and will reduce the efficiency of the boiler in severe cases. If a large amount of scale is attached to the boiler, the cost of repairing and cleaning the boiler is not a small expense.
