How to maintain a coffee machine that uses small capsule coffee for a long time?
With the widespread popularity of specialty coffee culture, more and more coffee lovers are beginning to purchase coffee equipment, coffee utensils and coffee beans online, and learn how to brew a cup of coffee that satisfies them.
In recent years, various espresso machines suitable for home use have been launched in the coffee equipment market on the market, so many coffee lovers will buy an espresso machine at home.
Because there is not much in-depth understanding of the espresso machine, many friends have not done timely cleaning and regular deep cleaning after use, resulting in various small problems after the coffee machine has been used for a period of time
For example, the steam becomes smaller, the water falling from the brewing head is uneven, and the handle leaks during the extraction process after the handle is fastened… How should we deal with these situations? How to maintain the espresso machine in daily life?
At present, the front street store uses an espresso machine suitable for home use and also suitable for community/small coffee shops. Generally, coffee machines used in households are easier to clean because they are not used frequently. However, you also need to pay attention to the cleaning after use, as well as regular parts cleaning
Daily cleaning refers to the cleaning steps we need to do after the coffee is made. Usually need to pay attention to two parts: the timely cleaning of the steam wand and the timely cleaning of the water distribution network of the brewing head.
- Timely cleaning of the steam wand
After heating the frothed milk, a thin film of milk froth remains on the steam wand. If it is not cleaned in time, the high temperature of the steam wand will cause the milk foam to stick to the steam wand and gradually coke. After a long time, it will not only easily deteriorate and produce peculiar smell, but also the coagulated milk will block the hole of the steam outlet, resulting in the steam wand coming out later. The steam becomes smaller.
Therefore, after each milk froth is finished, it is necessary to wipe off the remaining milk foam with a clean wet rag immediately, and put the head of the steam wand above the water barrier (do not face any person), and then turn on the steam again. Empty spray, the purpose is to spray out the milk that may remain inside the steam outlet hole.
- Timely cleaning of the water distribution network of the brewing head
The water distribution net is the mesh part of the brewing head, which is the part that directly contacts the coffee powder every time the coffee is brewed. Because the coffee powder is compacted, the coffee liquid can seep out of the powder bowl only when the pressure reaches a certain value range, so before the coffee liquid seeps out, there is still a possibility that part of the coffee liquid will flow back, even if the coffee finally seeps out, there will still be some Coffee crema and grounds may remain in the water separator.
If it is not cleaned for a long time, there will be a lot of residue and grease left in the water distribution network and pipes, which will affect the taste of coffee brewing.
Therefore, after extracting the espresso every time, remember to clean up the coffee powder in the powder bowl, and the coffee residue attached to the water distribution net can be washed off by pressing the water release button of the brewing head, or you can use the cleaning brush to remove the coffee residue attached to the water distribution net. Clean up the coffee residue.
Generally, if it is a coffee machine for home use, it does not need to be cleaned frequently with special powder because it is not frequently used. However, it is still necessary to use the blind bowl (a powder bowl without a water outlet) equipped with the coffee machine for recoil, use the pressure generated by the coffee machine itself to let the hot water continuously flush the brewing head, and because the water cannot flow out , so that it is sucked back into the duct to clean the coffee residue and release it.
After the recoil is completed, remove the handle of the blind bowl, and then turn on the switch to let the brewing head flow out of water, and use a brush to clean the remaining coffee powder/coffee stains in the groove of the brewing head (use a little force when brushing, and pay attention to the hot water of growth). Finally, wipe the entire coffee machine with a clean cloth.
After turning off the power, we also need to turn on the steam wand switch to discharge the remaining steam, so as to avoid the generation of scale caused by the steam water remaining in the pipeline for a long time. Finally, pour out the part of the coffee machine filled with coffee water, then clean and dry it.
Even if it is cleaned in time after each coffee is made, and it is cleaned before shutting down, it is difficult to avoid coffee stains remaining inside the water distribution net after a long time, and milk stains will be more or less blocked. Vent.
